twelve thousand eight hundred and seventy painted squares. more than two hundred  hours over the course of one month. fifteen frames of animation. one and a half seconds of video. The eyes of the beholder. i am the beholder. they are my eyes. i thought i would get a better grasp of color after painting this much with just six colors. titanium white. ivory black. alizarin crimson. yellow ochre. cadmium red. burnt umber. but color no longer makes sense to me. i saw what i thought was every color of the rainbow in these six colors. hundreds of hours of self imposed isolation has resulted in more questions than answers.
